The oak is the most beloved tree in all the world. It is a beautiful symbol of fortitude, endurance and wisdom. How miraculous to consider that this towering giant began as a little acorn. Ralph Waldo Emerson once said "The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn." God, our creator, has entrusted every parent with a unique and cherished "little acorn" to train and instruct in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Oh, that we may raise up great forests of mighty oaks, for His glory and the display of His splendor.
